Este grupo se asocia al jazz contemporáneo, con formas libres, modalidad e improvisación abierta, y un repertorio que, unificado por los arreglos y la sonoridad propia del quinteto, presenta temas de la gran tradición jazzística junto con piezas populares, tanto españolas como latinoamericanas, y composiciones propias.

Además de diversos conciertos por toda España, Francia y Portugal, ha participado en festivales como el Festival de Jazz de Getxo, donde el guitarrista Cy Williams gana el premio al mejor solista, el Festival de Jazz de Salamanca 2002, el Festival Oviedo Es Música, el Festival Internacional de Guitarra de Ponferrada,  el Festival Internacional de Jazz de Valladolid Universijazz y muchos otros. COVA VILLEGAS QUINTET

This group has as its reference contemporary jazz, with its use of free forms, modal playing, and open improvisation. Through its own arrangements and its particular sound, the quintet brings together a repertoire rooted in lesser- known songs of the great jazz tradition, popular music from Spanish and Latin-American folklore and their own compositions.

In addition to concerts throughout Spain, France and Portugal, the quintet has played in numerous festivals, among others the 8th Getxo Jazz Festival – where Cy Williams won the prize for Best Soloist –, the Salamanca Jazz Festival, the Oviedo es Música festival, the International Guitar Festival of Ponferrada the International Jazz Festival Of Valladolid and many more.
